Cologne, July 1, 2026 – Detecon appoints Dr. Uwe Heckert as new Chief Executive Officer effective July 1, 2026. He succeeds Jürgen Schäfer, who has successfully led the management and technology consultancy, a Telekom subsidiary, since July 2023.
Dr. Uwe Heckert joins Detecon from T-Systems, serving as COO for Healthcare. In this role, he laid the foundation for driving business growth and innovation in one of the most dynamic sectors of the digital economy. As a renowned healthcare and public sector expert, Uwe has advised clients across the globe and held several board positions throughout his career. He will continue to contribute his healthcare expertise as a senior advisor, supporting healthcare clients across both Detecon and T-Systems.
Prior to joining Telekom, Uwe held various international senior and executive leadership positions at Philips, Unisys and McKinsey. Throughout his career, he has successfully led growth and transformation initiatives across industries and markets. As CEO, he will further strengthen Detecon’s position as a leading management and technology consultancy and trusted transformation partner for clients worldwide.
“Industries everywhere are navigating profound change and what separates good transformation from lasting impact is client proximity. Detecon has built that reputation, and with T-Systems as our backbone, we have the go-to-market strength to take it further. I am proud to join this team and to build the next chapter – closely, ambitiously, and together with our clients.” Heckert points out.
“My sincere thanks to Jürgen Schäfer for his commitment and successes in recent years. Under his leadership, Detecon has sustainably expanded its market position and noticeably increased the added value for customers worldwide,” said Dr. Ferri Abolhassan, CEO of T-Systems. “I am pleased that we were able to win Uwe Heckert for this important task. He brings a unique combination of consulting expertise, technology leadership and industry experience, as well as a proven track record of driving transformation and sustainable growth. Uwe Heckert will become a new member of the Management Board of T-Systems and has been in intensive discussions with Jürgen Schäfer in recent weeks to ensure a smooth handover at Detecon.”
