Cologne, October 9, 2026 – Detecon International GmbH has made significant progress in its latest EcoVadis rating: With a score of 91 out of 100, the company improved its score by 18 points within one year, moving from a Silver to a Platinum Medal. This places Detecon among the top 1% of companies assessed by EcoVadis worldwide. EcoVadis awards the Platinum Medal to companies ranking in the 99th percentile or above.
EcoVadis assesses companies across four key areas: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Detecon made particularly strong progress in labor and human rights (+23 points) and ethics (+19 points). “These significant improvements show that sustainable transformation can only succeed when it is embedded across the entire organization,” says Elsa Maurice, Sustainability Lead at Detecon. The results show that sustainability at Detecon goes beyond climate and environmental topics and also includes responsible business practices, respect for human rights and ethical conduct. This progress is the result of the commitment of colleagues across different areas of the company and the increasingly holistic integration of sustainability throughout the organization.
“The Platinum Medal is a strong recognition of our collective commitment. Sustainability is not the responsibility of a single team, but part of our responsibility as a company. At the same time, the result shows that we can support our clients not only with our expertise, but also with our own sustainability performance as a responsible business partner,” says Tobias Braun, CFO of Detecon International GmbH.
With the Platinum Medal, Detecon underlines its commitment to combining technological expertise with sustainable business practices. Particularly in light of the growing importance of sustainability requirements in supply chains and Scope 3, a company’s own sustainability performance is becoming increasingly relevant to customers and business partners.
