  Dr. Ralf Helbig

  Managing Partner I Regional Head Alpine

  Dr. Ralf Helbig heads the Alpine region with Detecon (Schweiz) AG and Detecon Consulting Austria GmbH. Previously, he was responsible for the Public & Industries division in Switzerland as Managing Partner, after having acted as interim CIO of Telecommunication Company Iran since the beginning of 2017. Since 2007, he has been responsible for IT Strategy and Enterprise Architecture Management as well as Travel Transport & Logistics at Detecon. From 2002 onwards, he worked as a consultant in Switzerland and primarily supported a global pharmaceutical company in the globalization of IT management. Before entering the consulting industry, he completed his habilitation in corporate management and process management at the University of Bonn, where he still works today as a private lecturer in corporate management and business process management.

  Thomas Kessler

  Managing Partner | Regional Head Asia-Pacific

  Thomas Kessler, with over 25 years of experience in telecommunications and ICT consulting, has been leading Detecon Asia-Pacific Ltd. as Regional Chapter Head APAC since March 2025. As a member of the Detecon Global Management Team, he drives the company’s growth and market presence in the region. Thomas has led numerous client engagements and played a key role in expanding Detecon’s presence in APAC. His background includes leadership roles at Deloitte, further strengthening his broad industry expertise. With a degree in Communications Engineering from the University of Rostock, Germany, Thomas is based in Bangkok. He is committed to delivering strategic advisory and innovative consulting solutions to telecommunications companies and other industries in APAC, helping them navigate the digital age and achieve their business objectives.

  Steffen Kuhn

  Managing Partner | Global Chapter Head Digital Strategy & Innovation

  Steffen Kuhn is responsible for the Global Functional Chapter Digital Strategy & Innovation. In 2017, he founded the Digital Engineering Centers at Detecon in Berlin. With more than 20 years of professional experience, he is a passionate and recognized expert for disruptive technologies and innovation strategies. His mission is to combine consulting and innovation with high-tech expertise in order to ensure the transfer from the innovation ecosystem to practical application. After studying communications engineering, Steffen started his professional career in strategy consulting and worked in various management positions. As Director of Innovation & New Business Development at T-Systems, he assumed responsibility for growth topics in the enterprise market. At Deutsche Telekom, he headed the group-wide innovation strategy. In 2012, he moved to the Telekom Innovation Laboratories (T-Labs) as a member of the Executive Board, where he was most recently responsible for the Digital Transformation & ReEngineering Program. As founder of the Digital Co-Innovation Labs, he created the ideal basis for his current tasks.

  Steffen Roos

  Managing Partner | Region Head Germany

  Steffen Roos leads Detecon’s business in Germany, overseeing all industries — including Telecommunications, Public, Health, Automotive & Manufacturing, Energy, and Travel, Transport & Logistics — and driving strategic growth and transformation across the region. He combines deep consulting experience with a strong entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for high-tech solutions. His career began in a New Economy start-up, where he experienced the immediate impact of his work firsthand. In this fast-paced, rapidly growing company focused on “internetifying” the world, he developed a strong sense of innovation and entrepreneurship. After a successful IPO and leadership roles in a software company, Steffen transitioned into management consulting and has since been a trusted advisor to senior executives across industries. With extensive expertise in agile project management and digital transformation, he supports clients on their journeys from strategy through execution — helping organizations turn vision into measurable impact.

  Dr. Simone Rudolph heads the Global Functional Chapter Transformation & Business Technology at Detecon. She brings a wealth of experience in technology strategy consulting, specializing in the German mid-size market and international enterprises across sectors like Manufacturing & Automotive, Energy, and TTL. With over 20 years of executive leadership, Simone began her professional career at PwC, focusing on IT and Cloud Strategy, IT Compliance, and strategic partnerships. Her career has since led her to prestigious consulting firms, including Deloitte Consulting, where she served as a Cloud Practice Leader, overseeing business development and international projects, and Gartner Consulting, where she was a Director leading the IT Strategy Practice. Simone is passionate about driving innovation and empowering organizations through digital transformation, leveraging technology to create sustainable growth and enhance operational efficiency.

  Falk Schröder

  Managing Partner | Regional Head MEA

  Falk Schröder heads the Middle East and Africa region. He was previously responsible for the Global Chapter Communication Industries International, a division that provides end-to-end advice to the international telecommunications industry with up-to-date services. His expertise lies in the transformation and development of telcos towards the digital ecosystem - including services around M&A, PMI and investor advisory as well as shareholder value. A key focus is on innovation and digitalization of the digital ecosystem, monetization of new telco services, performance management and optimization. This also includes various domain strategies such as business, services, network and infrastructure, to design and rollout consulting.

  Thomas Wehr

  Managing Partner | Regional Head Europe

  Thomas Wehr is the Regional Chapter Head Europe, focusing on strengthening Detecon’s European market position, particularly beyond Germany and the Alpine region. Previously the Head of Asia Pacific region, he has been a member of the Detecon Global Management Team for over a decade. Thomas holds a Master’s degree in Politics/Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Economic Management and Policy. He began his career at the Federation of German Industries (BDI) before joining Detecon as a management consultant in 2004. With profound expertise in corporate strategy, business development, marketing, controlling, regulatory aspects, value chain restructuring, and ICT infrastructure in telecoms and adjacent industries, he now focuses on driving Detecon’s growth in European markets.

  Dr. Stefan Weigand

  Managing Partner | Regional Head China

  Dr. Stefan Weigand heads Detecon Consulting Co. Ltd. with offices in Beijing, Qingdao, Guangzhou, and Chengdu. He has been leading the company since 2004 and is a member of the Detecon Global Executive Team. With a Doctorate in Business Administration and more than 30 years of consulting experience across leading international firms, Stefan brings deep expertise in business strategy and transformation management. Before focusing on the Chinese market, he successfully managed and delivered projects across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, demonstrating a strong record in intercultural management and global collaboration. His consulting work spans multiple industries, including telecommunications, high-tech, and mobility. Additionally, Stefan is passionate about people leadership and fostering both individual and organizational growth.
