About this Role
We’re looking for a proactive and hands-on IT & Digital Intern to help us run and secure the digital backbone of our Bangkok office – home to a fast-paced, international team of about 50 consultants and staff.
You will be the go-to person for all IT-related topics – from setting up devices and networks, to enforcing cybersecurity policies, to building internal tools that enhance collaboration and insight. Beyond infrastructure, you’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to consulting projects on a case-by-case basis through data analysis, visualization, or automation support – a great entry into consulting for a tech-oriented profile.
Key Responsibilities
1. Cybersecurity Operations
- Maintain a professional, standardized, and legally compliant Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Testing (VAPT) tailored for telecom and enterprise clients in Southeast Asia
- Automate repetitive internal tasks (e.g., reporting, permissions tracking, asset updates)
- Support consulting project teams with internal research data prep, dashboard creation, or tool-building to visualize client insights
2. Cloud Infrastructure Improvement
- Responsible for maintaining and deploying a unified, cloud-native foundation for local IT operations – combining secure authentication, centralized file storage, and credential management.
- All services run containerized on AWS ECS with infrastructure defined and deployed from GitHub using CI/CD automation, and all data protected under common S3 lifecycle and backup policies.
- Upgrade and stabilize IT infrastructure by cleaning, documenting, and optimizing assets, while adding costeffective components to support local services and backups.
4. Light Automation & Tooling
- Create and maintain small internal workflows tools, trackers or dashboards using e.g., Power BI, Power Apps, Python, Bash or Microsoft 365 tools.
- Identify opportunities to automate simple workflows or improve team visibility on key processes.
- Maintain e.g., shared folders, permission settings, and local digital hygiene.
5. Local IT Operations
- Minimize day-to-day troubleshooting through playbooks–act as first-line support.
- Contribute to cliaEstablish an IT support model that is responsive to user needs and fosters stronger collaboration and delegation between APAC and HQ ITent workshops and strategic planning sessions with analysis and insights.
- Keep the office running by managing new user accounts and devices, laptops, printers, Wi-Fi, VPN, and network equipment.
- Optimize procurement processes and coordinate with vendors for warranty, repair, digital license and office IT hardware/software needs.
Requirements
Language Proficiency
- Business fluency in English, other Asian languages are a plus.
Educational Background
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s orMaster’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong working knowledge of Linux & Windows devices, networking basics, and troubleshooting, bonus points for exposure to AWS, Azure, GitHub Actions pipelines, WAF, Docker or virtualized environments.
- Interest in cybersecurity, threat intelligence, OSINT and process automation.
- Professional mindset with the ability to work independently in a lightly structured environment.
Experience
- Prior experience in IT support, technical troubleshooting, or computer hardware/software maintenance (e.g., device setup, diagnostics, repair).
- Willingness to learn with Power BI, Power Apps, or Python.
