Michael Grimm

Michael Grimm is a Senior Expert for Digital Manufacturing at Detecon’s Digital Engineering Center. 

Michael advises clients on digital innovations, the redesign services and business models, and process optimization based on digital technologies. He helps clients to unveil the consistent focus on customer centricity as well as the necessary transformation to enable employees and organizations to meet the requirements of the digital age. 

Before joining Detecon, Michael was responsible for product development and advanced manufacturing in leading roles at global enterprises, where he led process optimization projects and gained extensive experience in production engineering. He is a SIRI Assessor (Smart Industry Readiness Index) for assessing digitalization maturity in manufacturing and AIMRI Assessor (AI Maturity Readiness Index) for evaluating organizational AI readiness and implementation strategies in manufacturing. 

Michael’s expertise encompasses digital manufacturing and Industry 4.0 transformation, smart factory implementation and optimization, production process digitalization, organizational readiness assessment and change management for digital transformation. His global experience with multinational manufacturing enterprises provides valuable insights for complex transformation initiatives. 

Michael Grimm holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering in the field of Production Technology from the RWTH Aachen University.
