Dr. Reiner Fageth: „Not to get kodaked“ – the digital transformation of CEWE

From the Company Rebuilding podcast series

Anyone who is interested in photography is most likely familiar with CEWE. Whether on the Internet or at one of the many photo stations in drugstores, specialty stores and grocery stores - when it comes to photo development, there is hardly any way around CEWE. Today Europe's most important photo service provider is the Oldenburg-based company that is a prime example of successful digital transformation. From the end of the 1990s, it developed from a white-label service provider for analog photofinishing into an integrated application service provider whose activities go far beyond the provision of images and photo books.

In the latest Rebuilding Companies episode, Dr. Reiner Fageth, CEWE Board Member responsible for Technology, Research and Development, recounts the company's transformation story and provides valuable insights into the mindset and culture of innovation that made the turnaround to new business models possible.
