Kim Lea Gertkemper is a Consultant working in the area of Digital Operations & Performance. Over the years, she has become an expert in overarching topics such as the digital maturity model and the digital transformation ecosystem. On the other hand, she drives industry-specific topics such as convergent customer experiences for telcos or financial process optimization for companies in the public sector.
Kim studied in Germany, the U.S. and Brazil, and completed her professional training with a Master of Science degree after a Dual Master's Program at Deutsche Telekom AG. "The double burden of work and study, as well as a heavy workload, were the perfect preparation for me to pursue a career in management consulting," says Kim. Through various telco projects, in which she developed and implemented concepts for "magical customer experiences" as part of a team, and through her several years of experience in the telecommunications industry in general, this is one of her core competencies.
As a management consultant, Kim particularly appreciates the spontaneity, in addition to the great variety, steep learning curve and important network: "Once my boss called me on a Wednesday and asked if I could run the Digital Maturity Workshop with her in South Africa the following week. So I got on a plane Saturday night, we rocked the workshop on site, and a week later I was back home."
