What characterizes the culture at Detecon?

Trust and leadership culture

Every employee experiences our corporate culture differently. Sandra, HR Business Partner and Simone, Senior Expert Leadership & Development share their experiences and how they help shape Detecon's culture in their roles.

Simone: I have been part of Detecon since January 2018 - as an internal consultant and business coach in the area of HR development. Before joining Detecon, I held various positions in consulting. Most recently with a focus on strategic HR and change management projects. Culture and MindSet are therefore exciting for me from a Detecon perspective, but also from a professional perspective.
Sandra: I have been a part of Detecon since March 2015, at that time as an intern in HR. Even after a short time, I noticed that things are different at Detecon than in my previous internships. I was an equal team member from the very beginning and was given my own projects - regardless of my career level. #Freedom in the way the projects are implemented, especially with regard to space, time, methodology used, but also content design, have been part of the experience for me ever since. Because of the trust I have been given, I can grow super fast at Detecon, both personally and professionally. But what does it actually take to be successful at Detecon? For me, it is quite clearly #self-leadership, #ambition, #passion, and the willingness to go the #extra mile.

#freedom #trust
Simone: Right from the start at Detecon, I took over project management for strategic HR projects which make every HR professional's heart beat faster. Without specifications and many guidelines, I was able to participate directly and take on responsibility. What does this require and what is expected? The will to drive and shape topics with a lot of #passion and #commitment on the one hand - a lot of #perseverance and #will to perform on the other hand.

#support
Simone: There are many #colleagues at Detecon who support you in quickly finding your way in the Detecon world. A decisive argument in favor of Detecon for me was the #heterogeneous composition of the #team - perfect for getting new food for thought or entering into a discourse, even if things can get heated at times.
Sandra: The journey continued for me as an HR Development Specialist. Despite the high level of responsibility, I am never alone with my tasks at Detecon. Support is provided by #greatcolleagues who are always #ready to help - whether within the consulting or the service teams - and from which true friendships often develop. Personally, I really appreciate the #flathierarchies as well as the distinctive discussion and #feedback culture within the #diverse teams, which make it possible to look at a topic from many perspectives at any time and thus come to a good result. The regular, sometimes unexpected feedback, from all directions helps me a lot to continuously develop professionally and personally - even if it is sometimes a bit exhausting to deal with one's own development areas again and again.

#Self-Leadership #Development
Simone: A major asset of Detecon for me as an employee on the one hand, but also as an HR professional and as a business coach and expert for leadership on the other hand, is the topic of self-leadership.What does that mean? Before it is a question of leading others, we at Detecon attach importance to dealing with what it means to lead oneself. This means that all Detecon employees, from the business analyst to the service staff to the partner, are specifically instructed in self-reflection. This is an ideal basis for working with others: whether on the project with the client, in the team, or in terms of leadership.

#Designing scope #Chaotic #Over the horizon
Simone: Self-leadership is at the same time the decisive competence for using the great creative leeway which one is given at Detecon in a goal-oriented manner.
There are not many guidelines and processes at Detecon like there are in a corporation. We like to be a little different here - perhaps a little chaotic in some places, but in return, thinking outside the box is an everyday occurrence. It's a matter of taking topics and shaping them. New exciting topics can simply be tried out - or personal strengths and focal points, such as business coaching in my case, can be deepened.
Sandra: During my entire time at Detecon, it was always possible to look #beyondtheplate. New ideas or suggestions for improvement are always welcome, not only in my direct area of responsibility but also beyond it. If you are willing to push an idea and simply #try it out, you can still do a lot of #shaping at Detecon. As an HR Business Partner, I am now even closer to the people at Detecon who shape our #PeopleBusiness. And I look forward to continuing to be part of this #family and to continuing to shape the culture with passion in the future.
