New Work - On the way to a new world of work

This book, which was written with the participation of Detecon authors Marc Wagner and Lars Attmer, is aimed at managers, executives, and human resources managers who are guided by the goal of actively shaping the new working world and not just reacting to current trends. In other words, it is aimed at company managers who have the courage to embrace new workplace concepts, who see leadership as a meaningful task and who recognize the potential behind consistent employee involvement. The following questions are answered:

Test
  • What is New Work and what relevance does it have for the success of a company?
  • How do I steer my company on the path to 'New Work'?
  • What does the optimal management and innovation landscape look like?
  • How do I increase the commitment of my employees?
  • What kind of working environment promotes a New Work culture?

If you want to break new ground, you have to venture out of your comfort zone. After a detailed clarification of terms, this book first identifies the four major factors driving change in the world of work: Demographics, globalization, digitalization and changing values. Based on the results of studies, the book then summarizes the current state of research, focusing on the expectations of employees and managers with regard to New Work. The core of the book is the presentation of a wide range of New Work tools, which are then explored in greater depth using practical case studies from the field. A detailed picture section illustrates what is described and provides impressive impulses for practice.
