Detecon Alumni today: Maike Küper

From when to when did you work at Detecon? What was your position?

I was in the Company ReBuilding & New Work division from 2016 to 2019, primarily for the topics of organizational development and innovation methods. I joined directly after my studies and then "switched sides" as a Senior Consultant.

What were the most exciting Detecon moments for you?

The cooperation in very diverse teams was always exciting for me - it was often striking that, as an bachelor of arts, I had a different perspective among many IT and business professionals. But this became more and more of an advantage because I was able to - I think - make a good contribution in very creative topics such as design thinking and cultural development. As far as content was concerned, I found it most exciting to work on very creative topics in very traditional industries such as insurance - which refuted many a prejudice. And I'm very grateful for the initiatives and role models in social media and external networking, which gave me great opportunities such as speaker slots.

What company do you work for today? What is your primary field of work there?

I am an agile coach and organizational developer with Dr. Oetker - I have remained true to my topics, but I wanted to accompany the transformation in a more sustainable way instead of just a little bit with many. It is very exciting to accompany the transformation in a family business after many DAX consulting projects, and it is a great culture at Dr. Oetker.

What did you particularly appreciate at Detecon and what do you miss from the "old days"?

The enormous amount of freedom was a great playground for me - I was able to pursue all my ideas, manage projects very quickly in my own way, and learned a lot - about many topics, but also about myself. In addition, I had a manager who had great confidence in all of us, and over 1000 super smart colleagues whose knowledge I could tap into at any time - no matter whether I was a managing partner or an intern.
