Dipl. Ing. Georg Karl Kopf

Georg Kopf has been working as a consultant for telecommunications operators in the field of mobile networks in Germany and abroad for ten years. He is currently supporting the IT service provider of a German public authority in the all-IP network transformation as a project manager. Previously, he supported a Tier-1 network operator in the introduction of new products in the area of Augmented and Virtual Reality (AR/VR) based on the new mobile communications standard 5G and Edge Computing.

After studying electrical engineering, Georg started his career as a project manager in the implementation of the first German GSM mobile network in Germany. This was followed by assignments abroad to Kuala Lumpur to accompany the establishment of a competence center for the SEA region for Bosch Telecom, to Rome to manage the technical sales of network products for Italian network operators for the companies Bosch and Marconi, and to Stockholm to the Ericsson headquarters to support mobile operators worldwide in the introduction of IP-based mobile communications systems.

At Detecon, Georg manages knowledge development for Modern Network Concepts: advanced mobile networks, edge computing, and the transformation to virtual and cloud-based networks. He is characterized by his in-depth expertise in telecommunications networks, his high level of customer orientation, and many years of experience in project management.
