Automated financial processes increase efficiency and create scope for strategic tasks.
Cologne, Germany, July 21, 2020. In the course of its introduction of SAP S/4HANA Cloud, the management and technology consulting firm Detecon, a T-Systems subsidiary and a company of Deutsche Telekom, has fully integrated the financial processes included in it with the existing system landscape of a corporate group. Together with SAP, an interface to the group-based SAP BCM module (SAP module of the Deutsche Telekom Group's Payment Factory) was created. In this way, payments from customers or to suppliers can be initiated fully automatically in the cloud and further processed and paid out via the existing group systems.
At the same time, Detecon realized a far-reaching integration of the SAP S/4HANA Cloud with the travel expense management tool Concur and the document management OpenText, among others, in a customer project together with SAP. All financial, payment and reporting processes can therefore be digitized and automated across all systems. This creates maximum transparency for current sales and transactions in real time.
With the successful realization of these integration scenarios in the cloud, which were previously considered to be very complex, Detecon benefits from high efficiency: all financial processes are fully automated and standardized. In addition, new digital innovations and features are available automatically with each release of SAP S/4HANA Cloud without having to tie up their own resources for their development.
Detecon CFO Sven Erdmann emphasizes: "The digital future lies in the cloud! And as an early adopter, we ourselves live out what we recommend in the interests of our customers. This also includes questioning grown processes. We believe that the positive compulsion to standardize financial processes of the cloud will free up new scope for our employees for strategic tasks."
