Detecon among the first consulting service providers to obtain Catena-X qualification

  • Detecon officially certified by the automotive data ecosystem Catena-X
  • Management and technology consultancy stands out for its quality and industry expertise

Cologne, March 5, 2024: Catena-X, the open and collaborative ecosystem for the exchange of data along the automotive added-value chain, has officially confirmed Detecon as one of the first “Catena-X Qualified Advisors”. The announcement is the industry initiative’s recognition of the high level of expertise the management and technology consultancy brings to its support of companies wishing to become part of the Catena-X network.

Catena-X goal is to bring together all players along the automotive added-value chain in a digital environment that will enable the cross-company exchange of data while maintaining data sovereignty. Besides its technical challenges, the high level of complexity of this project raises above all questions about the business value and the procedural and organizational changes that result from participation in the network. “Successful digital transformation is 20 percent technology and 80 percent change,” says Dr. Jürgen Padberg, Global Head Automotive & Manufacturing Industries at Detecon. “Our consulting services not only highlight the added value of the initiative for individual companies and across industries, but also demonstrate goal-oriented methods for the establishment of a data-centric culture and mindset. This is how we provide companies with holistic support on their Catena-X onboarding journey.”

Detecon is participating in a growing market. “Qualified consultants like those at Detecon are crucial for the success of Catena-X,” confirms Hanno Focken, Managing Director Operations and Governance at Catena-X. “So we are all the more pleased that Detecon, after playing a role in the development of the onboarding processes over the last two years, is now also offering advisory services that pave the way for interested companies as they enter the Catena-X world. During the consultant qualification process, we explicitly test candidates to ensure that they meet both the requirements of large companies with advanced integration needs and the needs of small and medium-sized suppliers.”

Over the past two years, Detecon has successfully carried out Catena-X onboarding formats as a complementary offer to the technical implementation, e.g., by T-Systems, the parent company of the Deutsche Telekom Group. The current certification further expands the management and technology consultancy’s footprint in the Catena-X sector.
