Dr.-Ing. Nico Feller

Dr.-Ing. Nico Feller is an Enterprise Architect and IoT Expert at Detecon Consulting and a member of the Industrial IoT team at the Digital Engineering Center.

After completing his studies in mechanical engineering, he initially worked for more than 10 years as a manager in the research and development of cyber-physical systems and has broad expertise in the areas of product development and production. Today, Nico supports companies from the automotive and manufacturing sectors in their digital transformation, focusing in particular on the availability and consistency of information along the entire product lifecycle.

What does Nico particularly like about his work?

"With the Digital Engineering Center team, I have the opportunity to go beyond consulting and develop ideas to prototypes with my clients. For example, we worked with the CBA Lab and with Volkswagen, Bosch, BSH and Zeiss to develop a reference architecture and information model for the Digital Twin. We were then able to test and evaluate our results in practice in a proof of concept. That was a great added value for everyone involved and was really a lot of fun."
