Warwick in Africa: Warwick in Africa (WiA) is a well-established innovative, philanthropically funded programme, developed over eight years from a small student volunteering project to a multi-layered programme which supports learners, highly talented learners and their teachers with Maths and English education in South Africa, Tanzania and Ghana. Detecon is proud to support Warwick in Africa in their endeavors.

Supporting Schools in South Africa

A computer room for Lodirile Secondary School: Lodirile Secondary School is located in Krugersdorp, Gauteng and has approximately 1300 learners. In collaboration with the Adopt a School Foundation, Detecon has donated and installed 20 laptop computers equipped with the Ubuntu operating system for the school’s computer room. The computer donation will not only help to improve the learners’ ICT literacy, but also serve as a computer and internet access point for the community in which the school is located.
