Dr. Rainer Ernst Weidmann

Dr. Rainer Weidmann is responsible for the IT Infrastructure Ecosystems & Platforms division, focusing on data center, IT, cloud and ServiceNow.

After studying physics and four years in research and teaching, Rainer began his professional career in the field of high-availability system and network architectures. He successively assumed full operational responsibility for all T-Systems data center locations in southern Germany. Under his responsibility for data center engineering, architecture and innovation, the world's first project for a climate-neutral fuel cell in data center operation and the first development data center "Datacenter 2020" for researching energy efficiency in the data center were created.

Rainer has been an expert in data centers and green IT for many years and has more than 30 years of IT and data center experience. Among other things, he is involved in standardization for data centers.
