Dr. Tanja Matt works as a Senior Manager in the Digital Strategy & Innovation chapter. As Topic Lead New Work, she is concerned with the working world of the future and the question of how companies can optimally shape and master the path there for themselves and their employees.

Tanja studied sociology, psychology and business administration at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz and the FernUniversität Hagen with a focus on organization, human resources and corporate management. She then completed her doctorate in International Business at WHU.

Her view on the topic of New Work is multifaceted: On the one hand, it is about creating the appropriate framework conditions in terms of premises, technology and regulations. On the other hand, change management and communication - as always in transformations - are an important component in New Work initiatives, in order to bring managers and employees along with them on their way into the new working world. It is not only a matter of actively involving them, but also of sustainably empowering them.

What should our working world look like in the future? Is New Work more than mobile working and how does collaboration succeed in this context? What implications does the New Normal have for companies and, if applicable, already existing New Work initiatives? Tanja is currently addressing these questions with her clients in industry, transport, energy and the public sector, and in publications on the topic of New Work.
