Detecon receives award for business transformation project!

“Best of Consulting Award” from Wirtschaftswoche

Köln/Düsseldorf, 14. Dezember 2020.  The management and technology consultancy Detecon has received an award in the renowned “Best of Consulting” competition organized annually by Wirtschaftswoche.Detecon took second place in the "Marketing" category with a digitization project. Ulrike Eberhard (Managing Partner) and team members Fabio Endler Kahil, Marco Biasibetti and Benjamin Pewzner conducted a business strategy transformation project for Tigo - the main brand of multinational telecommunications provider Millicom - focusing on digitization and customer experience.

Specifically, the Detecon consultants received the award for a concept whose standardized design enables rapid implementation in nine Central and South American countries where Tigo operates. Key cornerstones were the design of the product and services portfolio and innovative distribution channels integrated into an omnichannel approach to drive Tigo's strategy as a leading provider of converged fixed-mobile services. Another key element was the design of attractive, end-to-end digital customer journeys that facilitate customer use of the new digital services.

"One of the decisive factors for the success of the project was the standardized design principles we applied," explains Ulrike Eberhard. "All requirements and processes as well as the convergent customer journeys were designed in a consistent and coordinated manner". In total, over 3,000 design elements were created in high quality to ensure the best possible customer experience.

"Detecon's project activities were conducted in a very professional manner and support Tigo's transformation from a technology-oriented to a customer-focused and business-oriented organization", confirms Miguel Garay, Vice President Customer Experience of Millicom. "Both our digital and IT architectures now directly respond to the business strategy. We plan to complete the implementation by mid-2021. Through this transformation project we’ll be able to offer our customers a constantly improving experience and innovative elements in the future“.
