Klaus Hilbers

Klaus Hilbers is Senior Manager with about 30 years of experience in the telco industry. His focus is on fixed access networks of all kinds. He gained broad experience as developer, sales supporter, sales and key account manager working for a vendor in the domains of access, IP and transport networks. In 2014, he joined Detecon starting to consult network operators and regulation bodies in EMEA how to setup PtP fibre, GPON and/or DSL access networks. He supports as PM migration projects to transfer the legacy access technology into the latest fibre based solutions.

Actually, he is engaged in the topic of fixed access network disaggregation managing the transformation of vertical highly integrated and vendor proprietary appliances towards open software driven white boxes (SDN). He supports the DT’s Access 4.0 program to overcome inflexibility, complex operation and high investment cost in the fixed access domain by establishing a completely new ecosystem.
