Detecon International

Network Operation Efficiency & Security
Efficient and Secure Production of Services
Price wars can only be won with lean and standardized processes. But the migrations and developments of networks and platforms currently taking place in the telecommunications industry do not always reflect this simple fact adequately. For example, the planning and integration required for the relevant systems supporting operations (OSS/BSS) is frequently underestimated.
Unless it is based on a logically consistent concept, the attempt to achieve cost and speed advantages in an all-IP environment is doomed to failure. This is why Detecon provides its clients with holistic consulting, starting with strategic planning and continuing with the structuring of the networks and the relevant NGOSS platforms. We work with you, the client, to assess your individual situation and to define your ultimate objectives.
Detecon has developed a thorough and uniquely detailed framework for the set-up and operation of service-oriented architectures (SoA) for the OSS/BSS level and service delivery of telecoms companies. It is based on the standards of the OpenGroup and works with tool support. Processes are structured and implemented in accordance with eTOM, the established framework for business processes in the ICT industry. The methods used enable a high degree of transparency, even in landscapes of several hundred applications, because they define business processes, information, and technical components in terms of architectural and solution building blocks, and not only individual software functions. The processes which have been reengineered in this way can then, in the ideal situation, be offered on the open market by a spun-off service center. Detecon specifies the SLAs and KPIs required for this purpose, along with the business model.
To secure the protection of the business-critical systems and data, even in emergency situations, company-wide risk and security management is a vital part of the planning and implementation of system architectures. Clear concepts for disaster recovery and business continuity management enable, in addition to traditional security topics such as network security, highly reliable, resilient and consistently available networks, platforms, and services.
