Francis Deprez (CEO)
Francis Deprez has been CEO of Detecon International since September 2011. His experience in corporate consulting goes back many years; before joining the Telekom Group in 2006, he had worked for the consulting company McKinsey for 15 years, eight of them as a partner. At Telekom, he initially held the position of Senior Vice President of the Center for Strategic Projects (CSP) before becoming the head of Group Strategy of Deutsche Telekom in 2007. Under his leadership, important strategic projects were developed, successfully positioning Telekom as a global market leader for connected life and work.

Andreas Baumann (CFO)
Andreas Baumann has been Chief Financial Officer at Detecon International and consequently a member of the Executive Board as well since March 2009. He previously worked at T-Systems South Africa, also in the role of CFO, from 2005. But all in all Baumann has been a part of the Deutsche Telekom Group since 1995, although he initially was a member of the unit Treasury. From 1999 on, he was the director of the department Global Financial Management and from 2000 on director of the department Money Market and Currencies. In addition to his line activities, Baumann was also the commercial manager of the two financial investment limited companies (GmbH) Global Satelliten-Beteiligungs-Holding and DT-Satelliten-Holding. Andreas Baumann earned his academic degree at the University of Bamberg, where he majored in business administration.

Executive Board

Ulrich Beilharz (Partner)
Ulrich Beilharz is responsible for operational business and strategic portfolio development in the services sector. The holder of a degree in business administration worked in various management positions for debis Systemhaus and T-Systems before coming to Detecon in 2006. He has in particular taken care of clients on the national telecommunications market (Deutsche Telekom) and in the automotive industry (BMW) and managed various large projects on the subjects of “transaction backbone” and “accounting / procurement”. Ulrich Beilharz has in-depth professional expertise in the development of IT strategies, IT application architecture, and the area of coaching and interim management. He is also a specialist for the analysis and re-engineering of business processes and the assessment of investment and project decisions, including sourcing strategies and development of business cases.

Daniel Eckmann (Managing Partner)
Daniel Eckmann is the head of consulting services for key accounts on the national telecommunications market, where clients include Deutsche Telekom and T-Systems. He is an expert for ICT services in the telecommunications sector and has had 15 years of experience in various management positions. After earning a degree in business administration at the University of Bamberg and Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh with a focus on marketing and corporate management, he began his professional career at 3M/Imation and Mitsui Chemicals in Düsseldorf. He then moved to T-Systems/debis Systemhaus in 2001. While here, he was able to acquire major long-term ICT service agreements (big deals with the clients Deutsche Telekom, e-Plus, O2, sunrise (CH), Quam, and Time Warner/AOL). In 2007, Daniel Eckmann was already molding the business relationships with Deutsche Telekom at Detecon, concentrating especially on the subject of transformation management in the field of ICT services.

Robin Euler (Managing Partner)
Robin Euler was appointed CEO of Detecon (Schweiz) AG in October 2010. He had previously been a member of the Executive Board at Detecon and director of the division “Telecommunications” since 2008, managing the national and international business relationships with Deutsche Telekom. Prior to that time, he was Partner at Detecon (Schweiz) AG, where he had worldwide responsibility for the field financial management. During his many years of work as a consultant, Robin Euler has gained international project experience related to the topics of strategy, corporate finance, restructuring, and financial management in the pharmaceutical, manufacturing, and telecommunications industries. Before he joined Detecon, Robin Euler worked for a strategy consulting company in Germany. He studied business administration at the University of Mannheim and earned an MBA at Western Illinois University in the USA.

Dr. Kai Grunert (Managing Partner)
Dr. Kai Grunert has had 15 years of experience in the leadership, management, and support of complex consulting projects and is responsible for the international consulting business in the telecommunications sector. He was previously in charge of various management activities and the support of clients in the sector of fixed access and transport with a focus on migration and integration of access and transport networks in NGN scenarios. Yet another focus of his activities was on strategic consulting in the areas “Fiber to the x” (FTTx), synchronous digital hierarchies (SDH), migration paths, and network planning and expansion (outside plant management). Dr. Grunert is an internationally recognized expert for strategic telecommunications projects with a special emphasis on fixed line network operators in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. He studied aerospace technology at the Technical University of Munich (Dipl.-Ing.) and engineering (Dr.-Ing.) at the Technical University of Berlin.

Daniel Kellmereit (Managing Partner)
Daniel Kellmereit has had extensive experience in the fields of innovation management, marketing, corporate development, and partnership strategies. Immediately before assuming his current position as CEO of Detecon Inc., USA, where he has responsibility for the entire North and South American market, he was the head of the San Francisco office. His clients come from the industries hardware, software, Internet services, investment, and mobile network operators. Prior to joining Detecon, Daniel Kellmereit was co-founder and CTO of EFM Technologies, a software and services firm where he headed up technology strategy, corporate development and professional services. He also advised clients in the fields of information technology and communication and media at Roland Berger. He holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

Günter Krieglstein (Managing Partner)
Günter Krieglstein is the holder of a degree in engineering and has had extensive experience in client and solution development in the consulting business. He is responsible for the division for consulting projects and client relationships in the industry. After completing an international trainee program at Siemens-Nixdorf in the Consulting division and spending some time in South Africa, Günter Krieglstein moved to the Consulting section of the accounting and consulting firm KPMG in 1994. Günter Krieglstein directed reorganization and implementation projects in various industries and worked on harmonization and IT strategies. In 2000, he was promoted to partner at KPMG and assumed responsibility for the consulting portfolio of several account teams as well as other duties. When the KPMG consulting division was spun off into the international management and technology consultancy BearingPoint Inc., Günter Krieglstein directed the Supply Chain Management division for a number of industrial segments.

Issa Nasser (Managing Partner)
Issa Nasser is the director of the Detecon office in Abu Dhabi. A graduate of Columbia and Stanford Universities, he began his professional career in the telecommunications industry at Booz Allen, focusing on technology, innovation, and management. His work has covered strategic, technological, and business aspects such as regulation, marketing, technological trends, privatization, and the launch of new operators – for instance, T-Mobile, PTA Austria, STC, Mobily, EMTS Nigeria, Etisalat Misr – in many countries.

Dr. Christoph Schetelich (Managing Partner)
Dr. Christoph Schetelich has been the director at the Detecon location in Johannesburg since March 2006. In this position, he is responsible for Detecon’s growth strategy and business development in sub-Sahara Africa. Before taking over the management of Detecon’s sub-Sahara operations, his project work focused on strategic planning of voice and data networks, related OSS infrastructures and complex IT systems. During this time he gained extensive experience in project management in the areas of network operations as well as in interim management. Christoph Schetelich studied crystallography and earned his doctorate in this field at the University of Leipzig. He subsequently worked for several years as a research fellow at the Department of Physics of Warwick University, England.

Marc-Andreas Schultze (Managing Partner)
Marc-Andreas Schultze is responsible for business strategy and development in the telecommunications sector within the Europe region. He has been working for the company since 2002 and was CEO of Detecon Asia-Pacific Ltd. in Bangkok, Thailand, from 2005 to 2011. The holder of a degree in business administration has had years of valuable experience in the ICT consulting business in Europe and Southeast Asia. After earning a degree in business administration from Julius Maximilian University in Würzburg, where he specialized in marketing, logistics, and information systems, Marc-Andreas Schultze began his professional career as a corporate consultant at CSC Ploenzke AG in Bonn.

Dr. Thomas Siems (Managing Partner)
Dr. Thomas Siems is responsible for the support, establishment, and development of client relationships across a broad range of industries and topics. Before joining Detecon in 2011, Dr. Siems held various management positions in business acquisition and development for the GAS region at Capgemini, including global account manager for the VW Group, from 2007 on. He was previously employed at EDS (Electronic Data Systems Corporation), initially as a principal, later head of the bid management team, and finally client sales executive for the sectors manufacturing, public sector, high-tech, health care, and process industry. He studied physics at the University of Cologne, at the Research Center Jülich, and the CERN in Geneva, and in 1998 he earned his doctorate in the field of particle physics.

Thomas Wehr (Partner)
Thomas Wehr has been the CEO of Detecon Asia-Pacific Ltd. in Bangkok since January 2011. He began his professional career at the Bundesverband der Deutschen Industrie (BDI) before moving to Detecon as a corporate consultant in 2004. His consulting projects have focused on strategic corporate planning, strategic controlling, and market entry and turnaround strategies. In 2009, he moved to Detecon Asia-Pacific and assumed the position as director of business development, strategy, and marketing. Thomas Wehr holds a master's degree in political science and business administration from the Technical University of Chemnitz and a master of science in economic management and policy from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow.

Dr. Stefan Weigand (Managing Partner)
Dr. Stefan Weigand has been CEO of Detecon Consulting Co. Ltd., located in Beijing, since 2004. His activities focus on strategic and operative marketing, controlling, and performance management for telecommunications companies. He has been active as a corporate consultant since 1992, working for various international consulting companies. In 1996, the holder of a degree in business administration joined Detecon, where he built up the team “Business Strategy”, taking care of clients in Europe, Asia, Latin America, and Africa.

Stefan Wilhelm (Managing Partner)
Stefan Wilhelm is leading the Operating Office of Detecon. Before joining Detecon in 2011, he held various international management positions in the Deutsche Telekom Group for seven years. After working in Group Strategy, he served as Head of International Business Development for Deutsche Telekom. He subsequently became Vice President for Strategic Partnering and Business Development at Group Headquarters of Deutsche Telekom in Bonn. Stefan Wilhelm has extensive knowledge and experience in the development and realization of strategic management concepts from both the operational and transaction side. He is an expert for corporate strategy, strategic partnerships, organizational transformation and renewal, and Internet business models as well as web communication. He holds a master’s degree from RWTH Aachen and successfully completed executive programs at Stanford, the Chicago Business School, and IE University in Madrid.
