Dr. Heinrich Arnold (CEO)

Dr. Heinrich Arnold is chief executive officer of Detecon International and in this position is in charge of the leading management and technology consultancy “Made in Germany”. In his previous position as Senior Vice President Innovation & Laboratories, he steered group research and innovation activities at Deutsche Telekom and directed T-Labs and its offices in Silicon Valley, Berlin, and Israel. He is founder and supervisory board member of a number of Telekom high-tech spin-offs. His career began with an international top management consultancy, and he was co-founder of one of the first German-Chinese high-tech startup. His service on management and advisory boards of a number of companies (including Connected Living e.V., Fraunhofer FOKUS, Labs Network Industrie 4.0, Max Planck Institute for Innovation, Munich Circle, Technology Foundation Berlin) makes his expertise and experience available to the innovation community in Germany. Wirtschaftswoche counted him among the 100 Digital Leaders in Germany as early as 2012. Arnold holds a Master of Science degree in engineering from Stanford University; he studied technical physics at the TU Munich and earned his doctorate in technology management.


International Executive Board

Andreas Baumann (CEO Orbit)

Andreas Baumann has been CEO of Orbit GmbH in Bonn, a wholly-owned holding of Detecon, since July 2013. He is also a member of the Executive Board in this role. Baumann was CFO at T-Systems South Africa from 2005 to 2009; from March 2009 to July 2013, he was CFO at Detecon International in Bonn and Cologne.


Paul-Bernhard Dölle (Head of Human Resources)

Paul-Bernhard Dölle has been head of Human Resources at Detecon International GmbH since 1 September 2013. Before coming to Detecon, he held various executive positions in the corporate group at Deutsche Telekom AG. Prior to that, his activities included work in consulting firms in the financial sector.


Robin Euler (Managing Partner)

Robin Euler is CEO of Detecon (Schweiz) AG. In addition, he is in charge of the Detecon Competence Center Cyber Security. He had previously been a member of the Detecon Executive Board and was in this position in charge of the national and international business relationships with Deutsche Telekom. Prior to that time, he was Partner at Detecon (Schweiz) AG, where he had worldwide responsibility for the topic of financial management. During his work as a consultant, Robin gained international project experience related to the topics of strategy, restructuring, and financial management, above all in the pharmaceutical, manufacturing, and telecommunications industries. Robin Euler studied business administration at the University of Mannheim and earned an MBA at Western Illinois University in the USA.


Dr. Matthias Gröbner (Partner)

Dr. Matthias Gröbner is in charge of the business unit “Industry & Services” and manages all of the consulting activities related to the sectors financial services, pharmaceuticals and health, automotive, and manufacturing. He guides his clients during their digital transformation, from the generation of digital business models and co-innovation to the realization of concrete digitalization projects. His focal points are business-specific and IT architectures as well as the digitalization of the insurance industry.


Dr. Kai Grunert (Managing Partner)

Dr. Kai Grunert, Managing Partner, directs Detecon’s European activities. An acknowledged telecommunications expert, one of the primary focal points of his work relates to the advising and guidance of telecommunications service providers and large industrial companies in all aspects of digital transformation. Besides strategic issues, this includes consultations in the environment of the latest network technologies, especially in access and transport networks. Kai concluded his studies in Munich with the German Diplom (Dipl.-Ing. univ.) in engineering, then earned his doctorate in engineering (Dr.-Ing.) in Berlin. He has held a position as lecturer on IP transport networks at the TU Berlin for more than 15 years.


Michael Hanke (Managing Partner)

Michael Hanke is responsible for the business unit “Deutsche Telekom" and all subsidiaries. He was previously responsible for the consulting activities in the “Automotive”, “Manufacturing”, “High Tech”, and “Pharma and Healthcare” sectors.


Hans-Joachim Henke (Head of Finance & Controlling)

Hans-Joachim Henke has been head of Finance and Controlling at Detecon International GmbH since 1 February 2009. In the previous 7 years, he held various positions for Detecon, where he handled the preparation and management of international investments and was the head of Commercial Business Support.


Dr. Christian Kleinhans (Managing Partner)

Dr. Christian Kleinhans is in charge of the business unit Industry & Services and manages all of the consulting activities for the sectors energy; retail and consumer; media; travel, transport and logistics; and public. He supports our clients (among other roles) as interim chief digital officer (CDO) in their projects and stands for the topics of digital transformation, digital change, new business models, and innovations.

 


Issa Nasser (Managing Partner)

Issa Nasser is the director of the Detecon office in Abu Dhabi. A graduate of Columbia and Stanford Universities, he began his professional career in the telecommunications industry at Booz Allen, focusing on technology, innovation, and management.


Marc-Andreas Schultze (Managing Partner)

Marc-Andreas Schultze is responsible for the international consulting business in the telecommunications sector. He has been working for the company since 2002 and was CEO of Detecon Asia-Pacific Ltd. in Bangkok, Thailand, from 2005 to 2011.


Dr. Olaf Sieg (Managing Partner)

Dr. Olaf Sieg is in charge of external business development with partners and with Deutsche Telekom. He coordinates topics such as IoT and Industry 4.0 for the digitalization of German midsize businesses. His previous responsibilities included strategic transformation and implementation aspects in various executive divisions of Deutsche Telekom. Before coming to Telekom, he worked in large international consultancies and advised clients in the automotive, manufacturing, and high-tech industries as well as other areas. The holder of a degree in mechanical engineering earned his doctorate in information technology and works closely with research institutes.


Thomas Wehr (Managing Partner)

Thomas Wehr has been CEO of Detecon Asia-Pacific Ltd. and a member of the Detecon International Executive Board since January 2011. Thomas holds a master’s degree in political science/business administration from the University of Chemnitz and a master’s degree in economic management and policy from the University of Strathclyde. He began his professional career at the Bundesverband der Deutschen Industrie (BDI) before moving to Detecon as a corporate consultant in 2004. He is a specialist for corporate strategy, marketing, controlling, regulatory aspects, and infrastructure topics in the telco field. Working in these fields of expertise, he prepares clients in Asia to meet the many diverse challenges of digitalization.


Dr. Stefan Weigand (Managing Partner)

Dr. Stefan Weigand has been CEO of Detecon Consulting Co. Ltd., located in Beijing, Qingdao, and Guangzhou, since 2004.
His work focuses on business strategies and digital transformation in the sectors telecommunications, high tech, and automotive.


Stefan Wilhelm (Managing Partner)

Stefan Wilhelm has been a member of the Detecon Management Board and CEO of Detecon, Inc., in San Francisco since 2011. He held international management positions within the Deutsche Telekom Group from 2004 to 2011, most recently as Vice President Group Strategy.
He had previously worked internationally for a number of years as a management consultant. Stefan is an acknowledged expert for digitalization strategies, corporate strategy, M&A, and large-scale transformations.


Philipp Zindler (Managing Director)

Philipp Zindler has been the Managing Director of the Detecon Office in South Africa since January 2016. In his capacity as Managing Director he is responsible for Detecon’s business transactions in Central and South Africa. He has been working for the company since 2012 and started his career in in-house consulting at Deutsche Telekom AG.
