Andreas Baumann (CEO Orbit)
Andreas Baumann has been CEO of Orbit GmbH in Bonn, a wholly-owned holding of Detecon, since July 2013. He is also a member of the Executive Board in this role. Baumann was CFO at T-Systems South Africa from 2005 to 2009; from March 2009 to July 2013, he was CFO at Detecon International in Bonn and Cologne.
Robin Euler is CEO of Detecon (Schweiz) AG. In addition, he is in charge of the Detecon Competence Center Cyber Security. He had previously been a member of the Detecon Executive Board and was in this position in charge of the national and international business relationships with Deutsche Telekom. Prior to that time, he was Partner at Detecon (Schweiz) AG, where he had worldwide responsibility for the topic of financial management. During his work as a consultant, Robin gained international project experience related to the topics of strategy, restructuring, and financial management, above all in the pharmaceutical, manufacturing, and telecommunications industries. Robin Euler studied business administration at the University of Mannheim and earned an MBA at Western Illinois University in the USA.
Carsten Glohr is the director of the Practice “Public & IT Service Provider.” His task in this position is the management of all consulting activities for the EU, Germany, the German states, and communities. Moreover, he is in charge of Detecon’s consulting business with IT service providers, including T-Systems and Telekom IT. After earning degrees in technical computer science and business administration, he garnered more than 20 years of professional experience at Helbling, Diebold, and Siemens and while acting as an interim CIO.
Dr. Matthias Gröbner (Partner)
Dr. Matthias Gröbner is in charge of the consulting activities related to the sectors financial services and pharmaceuticals and health. He guides his clients during their digital transformation, from the generation of digital business models and co-innovation to the realization of concrete digitalization projects. His focal points are business-specific and IT architectures as well as the digitalization of the insurance industry.
Michael Hanke (Managing Partner)
Michael Hanke is responsible for the business sector Mobility. He was previously responsible for the business unit “Deutsche Telekom" and all subsidiaries.
Guido Horstmann is in charge of the global business of the Industry Practice “Manufacturing/Medium Enterprise” and guides the consulting activities for the sectors “High Tech”, “Manufacturing”, and “Automotive Supplier” at large companies and at the upper end of the scale of midsize businesses on subjects such as industrial IoT and Industry 4.0. Before joining Detecon, the holder of a degree in electrical engineering was employed in various management positions at internationally leading consulting and industrial companies in Germany and the USA.
Dr. Christian Kleinhans (Managing Partner)
Dr. Christian Kleinhans is in charge of the Industry Practice „Digital Consumer and Utilities“ and manages all of the consulting activities for the sectors energy, digital retail & consumer and media. He supports our clients (among other roles) as interim chief digital officer (CDO) in their projects and stands for the topics of digital change & transformation, new business models, and innovations.
Dr. Peter Krüssel
Dr. Peter Krüssel is the head of the Global Industry Practice Carrier/Core Telco and directs Detecon’s business with telecommunications companies. He has been working at Detecon since 2005. Prior to joining the company, he worked at EDS Business Solutions GmbH as principal for three years and at Eutelis Consult for 7 years, most recently as a partner in charge of the consulting business in the segment “Alternative Carriers.” Dr. Krüssel studied business administration at the Universities of Münster and Mannheim before earning his doctorate with a dissertation on the subject of “Decision Theory.”
Björn Menden, Managing Partner, heads the Global Practice Core Functions and Optimization. He guides clients in the generation of sustainable competitive advantages and the optimization and restructuring of their business models. Björn previously played a key role in driving the development of these topics internationally while serving in executive positions, including his work in our South Africa office. Before joining Detecon, Björn worked on the international stage at other leading international consultancies in fields related to restructuring, reorganization, and transformation. He is the author of numerous publications on these topics.
Issa Nasser is the director of the Detecon office in Abu Dhabi. A graduate of Columbia and Stanford Universities, he began his professional career in the telecommunications industry at Booz Allen, focusing on technology, innovation, and management.
Falk Schröder is responsible for the development of consulting topics in the field of networked infrastructure, which encompasses consulting about topics ranging from technology strategy to new, agile operating models. Modern methods such as SDN/nfv featuring a high level of automation allow as well the introduction and support of genuine, digital products in the area of drones or AR/VR services, e.g., for remote maintenance. Consulting services are related to the underlying architecture and QoS standards as well as their implementation and operation. Previously, Falk Schröder was personally in charge of projects concerning 5G, low latency, and requirements of the automotive sector.
Dr. Olaf Sieg (Managing Partner)
Dr. Olaf Sieg is in charge of external business development of midsize customers and strategic partner management. His work focuses on strategy and implementation of digital business models as well as on the introduction of IT solutions, especially in the manufacturing and automobile supplier industry. He earned his doctorate in mechanical engineering and is an honorary member of the CCI Cologne and the LNI 4.0 for strengthening German midsize businesses and Industry 4.0. He was previously employed at Deutsche Telekom, including his position as Vice President in the executive division for business clients. Prior to holding a position within the telecommunications industry he worked for a major international management and technology consultancy and for a leading German software producer.
Marc Wagner is a member of Detecon’s Management Board. He directs the Practice New Work, Ecosystems & Company Re-Building and guides companies during their digital transformation in the areas of digital ecosystems, innovation, and future-proof work organizations. He previously held various management positions related to the broad fields of restructuring, financial management, CHRO advisory, and people management; he began his professional career as the founder of an IT startup. Marc Wagner is the editor of various studies and publications regarding New Work and innovation culture as well as a co-author of the book “New Work – auf dem Weg zur neuen Arbeitswelt.”
Uwe Weber is head of the Detecon Digital Engineering Center for Industrial IoT. As Managing Partner in the unit Manufacturing, he also advises our manufacturing company clients, focusing on smart engineering and production. He is Detecon’s representative in the association ProSTEP, where he and his team support current association projects. Uwe is an ambassador of the Cross Business Architecture Lab, an association of large international user companies focusing on the subjects of digitalization and enterprise architecture. Uwe studied industrial engineering at the University of Karlsruhe and has been at Detecon since 2001. He previously held various positions at international IT producers and consultancies.
Thomas Wehr has been CEO of Detecon Asia-Pacific Ltd. and a member of the Detecon International Executive Board since January 2011. Thomas holds a master’s degree in political science/business administration from the University of Chemnitz and a master’s degree in economic management and policy from the University of Strathclyde. He began his professional career at the Bundesverband der Deutschen Industrie (BDI) before moving to Detecon as a corporate consultant in 2004. He is a specialist for corporate strategy, marketing, controlling, regulatory aspects, and infrastructure topics in the telco field. Working in these fields of expertise, he prepares clients in Asia to meet the many diverse challenges of digitalization.
Dr. Stefan Weigand
Dr. Stefan Weigand has been CEO of Detecon Consulting Co. Ltd., located in Beijing, Qingdao, and Guangzhou, since 2004.
His work focuses on business strategies and digital transformation in the sectors telecommunications, high tech, and automotive.
Stefan Wilhelm has been a member of the Detecon Management Board and CEO of Detecon, Inc., in San Francisco since 2011. He held international management positions within the Deutsche Telekom Group from 2004 to 2011, most recently as Vice President Group Strategy.
He had previously worked internationally for a number of years as a management consultant. Stefan is an acknowledged expert for digitalization strategies, corporate strategy, M&A, and large-scale transformations.
Philipp Zindler (Managing Director)
Philipp Zindler has been the Managing Director of the Detecon Office in South Africa since January 2016. In his capacity as Managing Director he is responsible for Detecon’s business transactions in Central and South Africa. He has been working for the company since 2012 and started his career in in-house consulting at Deutsche Telekom AG.
